    John L. Failer
    John L. Failer, 79, Rossville passed away Friday, August 7, 2020, at the Rossville Health and Rehab Center.

    He was born May 26, 1941, at Rossville, the son of John E. Jr. and Frances Brayman Failer. John attended Rossville schools.

    John was a welder for C&D in Emmett many years and later was a custodian for the Washburn Rural School District.

    John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dale, a sister, Marjorie, and a granddaughter.

    Survivors include two sons, Marc (Cheryl) Failer, Paxico, and Michael Failer, Emmett; two daughters, Penny Jenkins and Crystal Lamb, both Topeka; two brothers, Richard Failer, Topeka, and Jim Failer, Grantville; a sister, Kathy Maus, Emmett; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

    A memorial visitation was Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Piper Funeral Home. Inurnment followed in the Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in John's name and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple Street, St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
