    Donald E. Curran
    Donald E. Curran, 82, of rural Lawrence, died May 14, 2015 at his home.
    He was born in Delia, Kansas on September 9, 1932, the son of Jennings and Beulah (Hurla) Curran.
    Donald served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired in 1994 from the Lawrence Paper Company where he had been a forklift operator.
    He married Sharon Houk at St. Peter’s Church in Big Springs on June 4, 1960. She survives. He is also survived by his children, Laura Warner of Lawrence, Randy Ponaid E. (Becky) Curran of Carbondale, KS, Curran jeff (joyce) curran of Garden City, KS, Christy Curran and Don Curran II, both ol Lawrence, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two brothers, John and Phillip Curran, three sisters, Rosemary Gosser, Elizabeth Beavers and Joyce Wilson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Bob Curran and two sisters, Mary Kent and Donna DeWitt.
    A memorial visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home and a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be cel¬ebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the St. Peter’s Cemetery at Big Springs.
    Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association or the Sal¬vation Army and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
