Paul Matyak and Genevieve Grace were married July 26th, 1945, at Sacred Heart Church and made their home in Delia. They started their own auto repair business, Matyak's Garage, in 1945. Paul worked as an auto mechanic and Genevieve handled all the accounting and record keeping for the business and customers. He recently retired after 45 years of service to the Delia community. She is still employed as treasurer of the Delia City Council. The Matyak's have nine grandchildren.

The couple have nine grandchildren. Paul Frank Matyak and Genevieve Clare Grace were married July 26, 1945, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia. Mr. Matyak, who owned and operated Matyak’s Garage in Delia, retired after 45 years of service. Mrs. Matyak was bookkeeper for Matyak’s Garage for approximately 45 years and was Delia city treasurer or 19 years.

Barnes was solemnized at 2:00 p.m., Nov. 20, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Delia, with the Rev. Richard Etzel officiating. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Matyak, Delia, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Barnes of Havensville. The bride made her A-line floor-length gown of crushed velvet with long sleeves gathered into cuffs with pearl buttons and loops. Her floor- length veil was held by a Camelot headpiece trimmed with pearls and lace. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Attending the bride were her sister, Miss Roxann Matyak as maid of honor, and Mrs. Vicki Patterson as bridesmatron. Kenny Barnes was groomsman for his brother, and Gary King was best man. Servers were Ricky Matyak, brother of the bride, and Terry Ronnebaum. Ushers were the bride’s brothers, Paul and Ed Matyak. A reception at the Delia Grade School followed the ceremony. A wedding dance was held that evening at the Bohemian Hall. The bride is employed by the State Board of Agriculture, and Mr. Barnes is employed by Allis Chalmers in Topeka. The couple is at home at 846 N. Arter, Topeka.
