| Obituary- French, Alfred ALFRED P. FRENCH
Alfred P. French, 53, Rossville died Saturday at the Genn Hospital at Wamego after an extended illness.
A native of Linwood, he had lived in Rossville most of his life. He and Mrs. French moved to Brownsville, Texas, about two years ago where he operated a newstand until his retirement. He returned to Rossville several weeks ago. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Rossville.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vivian French; one stepson, Robert Ketterman of St. Marys; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Louie L. Nicki of Topeka; three brothers, Howard French of Rossville, Will French of Follett, Texas, and Leslie French of Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Barnes of Dodge City, Mrs. Lottie Chapman and Mrs. Lela Kelsey, both of Kansas City.
Funeral services were at the Wall-Diffenderfer Chapel in Top¬eka on Wednesday. The Rev. Don Jones of the Rossville Methodist Church conducted the rites. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
