    Mrs. Mary Alice Johnson
    Mrs. Mary Alice Johnson, 91, formerly of 1326 Harrison, died Monday, Feb. 9, at a Topeka hospital.

    Mrs. Johnson had owned and operated a rooming house several years.

    She was born March 29, 1895, at Rossville, the daughter of John H. and Anna Stach Ausherman.

    Mrs. Johnson was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

    She was married to Ben M. Johnson in Topeka. He died Feb. 28, 1969.

    Survivors include two sisters, Ruth Chance and Sarah Farrell, both in Topeka.

    Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Relatives and friends will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson will lie in state after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 901 Fillmore, 66606.
