| Obituary- Nugent, Mamie Mrs. Jim Nugent Dead
Mrs. Mayme Nugent, died at her home near Dover at 3:15 Tuesday morning. Death was caused by complications following the birth of a son on Monday. The little infant was taken to St. Francis hospital.
The death of Mrs. Nugent is doubly sad in that she is survived by six other children ranging in age from 2 to 12 years beside the day old infant.
Funeral services were held in the Rossville Catholic church at 9:30 o'clock this morning and the body taken to Mount Calvary cemetery at Topeka for burial.
Mrs. Nugent was the daughter of Joe Burns. She was born on a farm just north of the old Eli Nadeau reservation home, August 4, 1895. At the date of her death she was 34 years, 8 months and 10 days old. She was united in marriage to James Nugent of Dover, January 10, 1917. Seven children were born to this union and all survive. They are William Joseph 12, Bernice Ardell 10, Mary Margarite 8, Loretto Maxine 6, Catherine Ayleen 4, Thresa Celine 2, James Kenneth, infant. The sisters and brothers surviving are Louis Burns, Rocky Ford, Colo., Raymond Burns, Mayetta; Mrs. Dean Place, Mayetta, Mrs. John Martin, Willard; Mrs. Henry Martin, Rossville, and her father, Joseph Burns.
