Rossville Methodist Church was the setting for the marriage of Dianne Elaine Gideon and Wayne Gilbert Dick on Sunday, November 16. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Garland Gideon of Paxico and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Dick of Rossville.
The double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Don Jones. Mrs. Joe Campbell, pianist, and Miss Mary Brethour, violinist, with her mother, Mrs. Raymond Brethour as accompanist, provided music.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor-length gown of Chantilly lace and carried a cascade or orange delight roses. A sequin and seed pearl tiara held her two-tiered finger-tip veil of illusion.
Her attendants were Linda Rezac, maid of honor, and Phyllis Coffey, Sharon Karmann of Milford and Arietha Vandevort of Denver, bridesmaids. They wore ballerina- length gowns of Champagne velvet with butterfly bows in the back of Parisian satin in brown, spice and bayberry green. Linda Ungeheuer and Patty Coffey were candlelighters and Sherry Ireland was flower girl.
Bennie Dick Jr. was best man and Arnold Gideon was groomsman. Ushers were Richard Rafferty and Keith Cowan. Gary Dick was junior usher. Rodney Dick was ring bearer.
A reception followed at the Rossville Community Center.
After a wedding trip to Colorado Springs, the couple is at home on the Ethel Kerr farm east of Rossville.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Dick, Rossville, will celebrate their 25th anniversary with an open house on Nov. 20, 1983, at the Mainstreeter Club from 2 to 4 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Dick were married at Rossville on November 16, 1958. Their children are Mr. and Mrs. Scott Dick, Kevin Dick, and Jayne Dick. Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Garland Gideon, Paxico, and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Dick, Sr., Rossville.

Wayne and Dianne Dick, Rossville, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with an open invitation open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 15, at their home.
Dianne Gideon and Wayne Dick were married November 16, 1958, at the United Methodist Church in Rossville. They have lived in the Rossville community throughout their marriage.
Dianne and Wayne are the parents of Scott and Kelly Dick and Kevin and Julie Dick, all of Rossville, and Jayne Dick, Kansas City, Mo. Their two grandsons are Ryan and Cody Dick, Rossville.
The couple farm and operate Dick Farms Trucking with their sons at Rossville. They also drive a school bus for Kaw Valley Unified School District 321.

| Anniversary- Dick, Wayne and Dianne 3 To celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Wayne and Dianne Gideon Dick were married Nov. 16, 1958, at the Rossville United Methodist Church.
Dianne is the daughter of the late Garland and Viola Kovar Gideon of rural Paxico. Wayne is the son of the late Bennie and Lorena Ellwood Dick, of Rossville.
They settled at 6520 NW Hall Road, Rossville, and raised three chil-dren: Scott, Kevin and Jayne. They have five grandchildren: Ryan, Cody, Loren, Landen and Lawsen. They both graduated from Rossville High School. Wayne served as a Sargeant E6 in the Kansas National Guard for eight years at St. Marys. He began farming with his dad and brother while in high school and continues this occupation now with his sons Scott and Kevin and grandson Cody.
Wayne drove the school bus for the Rossville schools for more than 50 years and Dianne who continues driving at this time, has driven the bus since 1966. They are lifetime members of the American Hereford Association. Wayne was a founding member of the Rossville Palomino Club of which Dianne and their children later joined. He is presently treasurer of the Rossville Drainage District Board. Wayne is a member of the American Legion Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31, Rossville; Topeka Lodge No. 17 AF & AM, Topeka; Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Topeka; Arab Shrine A.A.O.N.M.S., Topeka, where he was a charter member of the Arab Shrine Scooter Patrol, and Past Worthy Patron of Loyal Chapter No. 176, Order of the Eastern Star, Silver Lake.
Dianne has been active in community affairs and was a leader of the Rossville Rustlers 4-H Club for many years. She is currently trustee on the Rossville Township Board. Dianne is a 50-year member and Past Worthy Matron of Loyal Chapter No. 176, and Order of the Eastern Star, Silver Lake. In 1986, she commenced the operation of Puppie Trails Kennel, a puppie brokerage firm, and later became a known breeder of American Kennel Club registered Italian Greyhound, Miniature Schnauzer and Miniature Dachshund puppies.
Wayne and Dianne will celebrate the occasion of their 50th year of marriage with a family dinner at their home on Sunday, Nov. 16.

Miss Kelly Sue Stewart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen W. Stewart, Dover, and Scott Wayne Dick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne G. Dick, Rossville, were united in marriage on Saturday, June 20, 1981, at 7 p.m. in the Rossville Christian Church. Bob Sieh, pastor, officiated at the double ring ceremony. Nuptial music was provided by Mrs. Janice Sharp and Mr. Dave DeForest.
For the ceremony, the aisle and altar candelabra were decorated with silk yellow roses, blue peach blossoms and blue bows. The candles were lighted by the bride's sister, Miss Janelle Stewart, and the groom's cousin, Jeff Dick. Janelle's gown was yellow with a yellow floral print overlay; Jeff wore a light yellow Ashley tuxedo.
The couple was presented for marriage by their parents in a "Reaffirmation of Family Ties" ceremony.
The bride's white floor-length gown with chapel train was designed and made by the groom's mother. It featured an empire bodice covered with rose lace appliqués, dotted with seed pearls, and oval neckline and sheer balloon sleeves with rose lace appliqués. Triangle tiers of rose lace motifs and scalloped rose lace trimmed the lower edge of the skirt and train. A three-quarter length silk illusion veil edged with matching scalloped rose lace held by a lace covered caplet completed her attire. The bride wore her grandmothers' gold wedding band and a pearl necklace, a gift from the groom. Her cascade bouquet was of yellow roses, stephanotis and baby's breath.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Melanie Crow, Dover. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Cindy Horn and Miss Cherryl Stewart, sisters of the bride; Miss Jayne Dick, sister of the groom; Miss Kim Enzbrenner and Miss Theresa Ackley. They wore floor length gowns of blue coupe de ville, with a blue floral print crystalline overlay. Each carried a single yellow silk rose with white daisies. Flower girl was Francie Lister. her dress was yellow coupe de ville with a yellow floral print overlay. She carried a white lace basket from which she dropped yellow rose petals on the bridal path.
The groom's best man was his cousin, Rodney Dick. He wore a white Sherwood tuxedo. Groomsmen were Kevin Dick, brother of the groom; Rod Miller, John Robb, Kerry Bryant and Mark McLeod. They wore light blue Ashley tuxedos. Ring bearer Dean Gideon and ushers Randy Dick and Shawn Gideon are cousins of the groom. They wore light yellow Ashley tuxedos.
Lighting of the unity candle concluded the marriage ceremony.
Honored guests at the wedding were the couple's grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. David Stewart, Dover; Mr. and Mrs. Garland Gideon, Paxico; and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Dick, Sr., Rossville.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the parish hall. The bride's table was centered with a five-tier cake decorated with yellow roses and light blue daisies. It was topped with white peace doves. Crystal candelabra held blue candles. Serving were Mrs. Shirley Danielson, Mrs. DeAnn Gideon, Mrs. Betty Dick, and Mrs. Sheryl Dick, aunts of the couple. Also assisting were Mrs. Phyllis Stadler, Miss Lisa Stadler, Mrs. Jeanette Dick, Miss Jackie Gideon, Miss Shelly Moran and Miss Tammy Johnston. Miss Jennifer Dick, cousin of the groom, passed rice bags. Mrs. Connie Dick was at the guest book.
Mrs. Dick is a graduate of Mission Valley High School and is employed by the Rossville Veterinary Clinic.
Mr. Dick, a graduate of Rossville High School, attended Fort Hays State University and owns and operates the Dick Mobil Oil Station in Rossville.
Following a brief honeymoon, the couple is at home at 221 Pottawatomie in Rossville.
