    Personal Notes:
Sgt. Floyd (Jake) Baird arrived in Leavenworth last Friday and was given his discharge from air force. Sergeant Jake has been a member of ground crew of the famous Ninth Air Force, went to France shortly after D-Day and through the whole campaign until the Germans said “Uncle.” Jake didn’t waste any time after leaving Leavenworth in getting home to greet his family and old cronies. 1945
