    Wahl-Colson Marriage Solemnized

Glen Mae Wahl became the bride of William E. Colson, Rossville, in the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wheaton on April 15. The Rev. Middendorf of Wheaton officiated.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Glenn C. Wahl, Blaine, and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Colson, Rossville.

Wedding music was provided by Mr. Mike Printz, organist, and Miss Jane Ann Sullivan, soloist, both of Onaga.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina length gown of white lace styled with a lovely face-lighting scalloped neckline, long pointed sleeves, full skirt with accents of nylon net pleating. Her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls, gift from the groom.

Her ballerina length veil of sheer nylon illusion was held by a crown of pearls and sequins. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink sweetheart roses on a white Bible.

Elvera Wahl, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore an orchid street length sheath dress of brocade taffeta and styled with scoop neckline, short sleeves and a nylon net overskirt. Her circular veil was held by orchid bows. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink carnations.

Joni Good, friend of the bride, was flower girl. Her dress was of orchid brocade taffeta with a scoop neckline, short sleeves and a gathered skirt. She carried an orchid basket and scattered pink rose petals.

Dennis Lynn Colson, brother of the groom, was ring bearer. He carried the rings on a heart shaped pillow.

Candle lighters were Darlene Wahl, sister of the bride, and Dean Colson, brother of the groom. Each carried a white candle with an orchid bow. Darlene wore an orchid dress of brocade taffeta with a scoop neckline, short sleeves and gathered skirt.

Kenneth Heiland, friend of the bridegroom, was best man. Lonnie Spiker, brother-in-law of the groom, and Gary Wegner, cousin of the bride, were ushers.

Janice Spiker, sister of the groom, presided at the guest book. She wore a green and beige suit.

A reception was held in the church basement following the ceremony. Those assisting were: Mrs. LaVern Bosswell, Wheaton, Miss Janice Abitz, Onaga, Miss Kelly Keating, Onaga, Mrs. Herbert Knipp, Onaga, Mrs. Floyd Gendre and Sondra, Onaga, Mrs. Maurice Pierson, Wheaton, Mrs. Arnold Colson, Ionia, and Miss Ella Colson, Mankato.

After a short wedding trip to Colorado the couple is at home in Rossville. Glenda is employed at Mr. Sullivan's Hairdressing Salon, Highland Crest Shopping Center in Topeka, and Bill is employed at Massey-Ferguson in Rossville.
