Candlelighters were Steven Thompson and Stanley Thompson. The bride wore a floor-length A line gown of ivory peau de soie and peau d’ange lace. The empire bodice had a stand-away collar and elbow-length sleeves trimmed with jeweled lace appliques. A small flat bow defined the waistline. The skirt had an overlay of scalloped lace in tunic effect. A watteau train was fastened high on the back with a bow and extended to chapel length. Her cathedral-length veil was caught to a wedding ring circle of peau de soie trimmed with lace and pearls. She carried a cascade of gold and bronze pompon chrysanthemums. Attending the bride were Beverly Davis and Sharrai Sage, sisters of the couple, and Susan Nadeau and Mrs. Harry McGee, both of Kansas City. The bridegroom’s brother, Scott Sage, was ring bearer. John Herron, Dallas, Tex., was best man and groomsmen were Mike Elliott and Dwight Martinek, Manhattan, and Bob Wehner, Rossville. Ushers were Charles Stambaugh, Maple Hill, and Bob Duley. A reception in Gage Center restaurant followed the ceremony. After a short wedding trip, the couple is at home at 3213 State, Manhattan. The bride attended School of Radiologic Technology at the University of Kansas Medical Center and is employed by Dr. R. K. Wallace at St. Mary Hospital, Manhattan. The bridegroom is attending Clark’s School of Business and is employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Both are graduates of Rossville High School. Carolyn Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Davis, Tom Sage, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sage, were married Saturday, November 23 at the Presbyterian church in Topeka with the Rev. Howard Elliott officiating. Candlelighters were Steven and Stanley Thompson. Attending the bride were Beverly Davis and Sharri Sage. Susan Nadeau and Mrs. Diana McGee. Ring bearer was Scott Sage. John Herron of Dallas, Texas was best man. Groomsmen were Mike Elliott and Dwight Martinek and Bob Wehner. Ushers were Charles Stambaugh and Bob Duley.
