Guests included: Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Decker, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stach, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Meyer, Gretchen and Blake, all of Rossville; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Decker, Brent, Emily and Bryce and Mr. and Mrs. Urban Schmitz and Matthew, all of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Steele, Rod and Russ, St. Marys. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Decker, Kansas City, Mo., were unable to attend, but called earlier in the day. The Deckers were married January 28, 1922, at Topeka and will have resided in the Rossville community 55 years this summer.
  		Anniversary- Decker, Ernest and Mary 2 Mr. and Mrs. Decker Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Decker, Rossville, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary quietly in their home Thursday. They were married Jan. 28, 1922, in Topeka, and have lived in Rossville all their married lives. They have four children: Winifred Stach, Rossville; Willis Decker, Kansas City; Gerald Decker, Topeka; and Charlotte Steele, St. Marys; and 14 grandchildren.

The double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Paul Kapp in the St. Marys Methodist Church Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7:00 P.M. The bride was lovely in a blue lace dress with black accessories. She carried a bridal bouquet of chrysanthemums and carnations. She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Frank Stach, of Rossville. Mr. Carl Carlson of St. Marys served as best man. After the ceremony the wedding party which included relatives of the couple, went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Steele where the gifts were opened. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Steele are now making their home north of St. Marys.

At that time the St. Marys United Methodist Church had been tom down in preparation to build the new Methodist church at Seventh and Alma. They are parents of four children: Pamela Del Castillo, Overland Park; Russell Steele, Topeka; Rodney Steele, deceased; Lou Ann Kling, Emmett; and Chuck Kling, Seneca. They have 11 grandchildren. Kenny operated Kenny’s Barber Shop in St. Marys for 45 years. Charlotte has been a local hairdresser for 36 years.
