| Anniversary- Zeller, Alvin and Margaret Zellers To Celebrate Golden Anniversary
Alvin and Margaret Zeller, Paxico, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass of Thanksgiving at Sacred Heart Church, Newbury, on Saturday, May 20, at 1:00. The Mass will be followed with a reception 4 at the Knights of Columbus Hall from 2:00 to 4:00.
Margaret Hesse and Alvin Zeller were married at Sacred Heart Church, Newbury, on May 21,1945. Mr. Zeller, who had been employed by the State of Kansas, retired in May 1992. The couple resides on a farm in rural Paxico.
Hosting the event will be their 10 children and their families: Roger and Jackie McCormick, St. George; Ken and Janie Schnitker, Assaria; Kenneth and Wendy Zeller, Paxico; Sylvia Nott, Topeka; John and Liz Beard, Minneola; Ken and Pat Maginley, Wamego; Mike and Lori Zeller, Paxico; Paul and Nancy Zeller, Assaria; Ann Kisner, Topeka; and Rob Zeller, Bedford, Tex. The couple has 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to come and share this special time with them. The couple requests no gifts.

| Obituary- Zeller, Alvin Alvin R. Zeller
Alvin R. Zeller, 93, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017, at a Topeka Hospital.
He was born on April 12,1924, in Paxico, the son of Michael L and Mary Meinhardt Zeller. Alvin graduated from Paxico High School and had lived in the Paxico/ Newbury community all of his life.
Alvin was a plumber and had worked for the Topeka State Hospital. He also was a farmer and had driven a truck for several years for Kincaid Trucking. Alvin was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Newbury and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Flint Hills Tractor Club.
Alvin was preceded in death by a granddaughter, April Comes; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Zeller; a son-in-law, Kirby Allen; his siblings, Sister Maxine Zeller, OSB, Florian Zeller, Verena Seberg, Mildred Dagenhardt, Thelma Caponergo, Louise DeDonder and Mercedes Sayler.
On May 21,1945, he was united in marriage to Margaret Hesse at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his children, Jackie (Roger) McCormick, St. George, Janie (Ken) Schnitker, Salina, Kenneth and Wendy Zeller, Paxico, Sylvia Nott, Paxico, and Liz (John) Beard, Minneola; Pat (Ken) Maginley, Wamego; Mike and Lori Zeller, Paxico, Paul (Suzy) Zeller, Assaria, Ann (Jerry) Robertson, Olathe, and Rob and Tiffany Zeller, Gary, S.D.; 30 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Friday, September 29,2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Newbury. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Mr. Zeller will lie in state and the family will receive friends on Thursday, from 4:00 until the rosary at 7:00 P/M. at the church.
