Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bixby of Rossville will be honored with a dinner Sunday, February 14, at Silver Lake Cafe on their 64th wedding anniversary, given by their children. They will hold open house hours from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Silver Lake Cafe. Friends and relatives are invited to call. Mr. and Mrs. Bixby were married in St. Marys. They have lived in Rossville all their lives except for three years at Silver Lake. They are the parents of ten children, five boys and five girls. |

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Virginia N. O'Donnell, 87, Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Rossville, died Monday, March 8, 1993, at a Kansas City, Mo., medical center.
Mrs. O'Donnell was a former waitress, Fred Harvey Girl and a telephone operator for Santa Fe Railway.
She was born June 4, 1905, at Rossville, the daughter of Charles and Hattie Denton Bixby.
Mrs. O'Donnell was a member of Eastgate Chapter No. 367 of the Order of Eastern Star at Kansas City, Mo., and Citizen Band of the Potawatomi Tribe of Oklahoma.
She was widowed.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Crose, Nevada, Mo.; three sisters, Grace Bussey and Mabie Patten, both of Topeka, and Edna Mae Taylor, Silver Lake; two brothers, Robert Bixby, Silver Lake, and Don Bixby, Rossville; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in D.W. Newcomer's Floral Hills Chapel in Kansas City, Mo. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery at Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will be from 7 until 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel.
