Mr. and Mrs. Charles Glen Crupper of Rossville were complimented by members of her immediate family helping them celebrating their 25th (silver) wedding anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Crupper were married in Arkansas while he was in the U. S. Army on March 4, 1950, however the family
celebration was held March 2, at the home of her sister in Emmett, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. DeVader. Mrs. Ray Kovar, a sister-in-law, cut the anniversary cake. Mrs. Jesse Huntsman and Mrs. Donald Bunzel, sisters of Mrs. Crupper, Topeka, assisted with the serving of refreshments.
Present were: the honorees - Mr. and Mrs. Charles Glen Crupper, their only son, Charles Glen Crupper, Jr. of Rossville and his fiancee, Miss Yolanda Franco of Topeka; Miss Sandy Crupper and Miss Valerie Crupper, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Kovar of Rossville, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kovar, Brian and Lucinda of St. Marys; Mr. and Mrs. Jesse J. Huntsman, Karen and Gary,and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bunzel, all of Topeka; Mr. Bunzel’s mother, Mrs. Bruce Bunzel of Fort Collins, Colo., who is their house guest; Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. DeVader, Brian and Brad.
On March 4, the Cruppers celebrated their actual wedding date with dinner for Miss Franco, Charles Glen Crupper, Jr., and Sandy and Valerie.

Virginia L. Crupper, 92, formally of Rossville, KS passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at St. Marys Manor, St. Marys, KS.
She was born December 9, 1932, in Rossville, KS, to Edward Kovar and Edna (Lee) Kovar. Virginia grew up in Rossville and graduated from Rossville High School.
Virginia worked as a supervisor in advertising for Luce Press Clippings. She retired in 1982.
She was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian church, where she was the treasurer for 9 years. Virginia was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 31. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, fishing, and baking.
Virginia married Charles G. Crupper on March 4, 1950, in Bentonville, AR. Charles died in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Charles Crupper Jr. and wife Yolanda of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Charles Crupper III of Eugene, OR, Wendy Crupper of Chicago, IL; great-grandchildren, Kate and Eleanor Crupper-Riley of Chicago, IL; a brother, Ray Kovar and wife Loretta of St. Marys, KS; and brother-in-law, Donald Bunzel of Topeka, KS.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Ruth Bunzel, Mae DeVader, and Jean Huntsman
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am, with a funeral service at 11:00am, Saturday, June 28, at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rossville Cemetery.
