| Anniversary- McCoy, Robert and Lura 1 Bob McCoys Celebrate 40th Wedding Anniversary with Card Party
Mr. and Mrs. Bob McCoy, Rossville, were honored with a card party Saturday, November 27, in observance of their 40th wedding anniversary.
Their daughters, Mrs. Linda Seitz and Mrs. Lois Lacock, and their families hosted the party. A number of their friends and relatives spent the evening playing cards and reminiscing about the “good old days.”
The couple’s grandchildren, Sharon, Ronda and Brenda Seitz, and Renae, Jeannie and Kerry Lacock, helped with the serving of refreshments. Mrs. Irene Cowger, a friend of the family, made the beautiful anniversary cake.
Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Dale Scully, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hanson, Lori and Lonnie, Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Marten, Alma; Mr. and Mrs. Willard Marten, Wamego; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mannell, Holton; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Cowger, Soldier; Mr. and Mrs. Owen Stratton, Louisville, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Lonsinger and Doug, Tulsa, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Seitz, Sharon, Ronda and Brenda, Ottawa; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lacock, Renae, Jeannie and Kerry, Rossville.
Prior to the party, the McCoys, Seitzes and Lacocks enjoyed a dinner at the Mainstreeter in Rossville.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. McCoy, Rossville, will be guests of honor at a reception on Sunday, Nov. 2 at the Rossville Community Center from 2 to 4 p.m. The couple requests no gifts. They will be celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Hosts for the event will be their two daughters and their families — Mr. and Mrs. Albert Seitz and family, Ottawa; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lacock and family, Rossville. The couple has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Robert S. McCoy and Lura McNay were married November 27, 1936, in Topeka.

Bob and Lura McCoy, Rossville, will be guests of honor at a reception in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Rossville United Methodist Church.
Hosts will be their children, Linda and Albert Seitz, Ottawa, and Lois and Tom Lacock, Rossville. They have six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Robert and Lura McCoy were married Nov. 27, 1936, in Topeka.
Mr. McCoy is retired from Rossville public schools. Mrs. McCoy is retired from Montgomery Ward in Topeka.

Vows Are Told
Linda Ann McCoy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. McCoy, Rossville, and Mr. Albert J. Seitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Seitz, St. Marys, were united in marriage at 9:30 a.m., Apr. 11, in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. Marys. Rev. Edward Thro, S.J., read the Nuptial Mass.
Mrs. Joe Ronsse, organist, and Mrs. George Verschelden, vocalist, furnished the music.
The bride’s ballerina-length white Chantilly lace gown was fashioned with long tapered sleeves, scalloped neckline and a full skirt accented with pleated tulle. A crown of sequins and pearls held the fingertip-length veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses and white feathered carnations.
Attending the bride were Mrs. Wayne Sebring and Miss Lois McCoy, sisters of the bridegroom and bride. Both wore romance blue taffeta dresses with matching veils, accented with pink flowers, and carried colonial bouquets of pink and white carnations.
The bridegroom’s attendants were his brother, William J. Seitz, and a cousin, Richard E. Meyer, both of St. Marys. The ushers were Kenneth A. Meyer and Lorain Schumaker, St. Marys.
A reception-followed the ceremony in the Centennial Hall in St. Marys. Miss Mary K. Seitz, sister of the bridegroom, Carolyn Stratton and Barbara Spears, cousins of the bride, assisted at the bride’s table. Donna Stratton, a cousin of the bride, was in charge of the guest book.
Others assisting with the reception were Jean Nadeau, Linda Rezac, Carol Rafferty, Mrs. John G. McNay and Mrs. John Ramey.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Seitz are employed in Topeka, the bride by Hallmark Cards; the bridegroom by McGrath Engineering Inc.
Mr. Seitz will be stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., for six months training with the Army.

| Obituary- Seitz, Linda LINDA ANN SEITZ
Linda Ann Seitz was born on Sunday, October 13, 1940 in Wamego, Kansas. She was the daughter of Robert and Lura (Mc- Nay) McCoy. Linda lived in St. Marys, Kansas since 1959, moving to Ottawa, Kansas in 1968 where she made her home until her death on Thursday, September 5,2013, at the age of seventy-two years.
Linda graduated from Rossville High School with the class of 1958.
On April 11, 1959 Linda was united in marriage with Albert Seitz in St. Marys, Kansas. He survives of their home after fifty-four years of marriage.
Other survivors include her three daughters, Sharon Van Horn and husband Gene of Wellsville, Kansas, Ronda Seiwert arid husband Paul of St. Mark/Colwich, Kansas, and Brenda Wray and husband John of Ottawa; nine grandchildren, Greg Van Horn, Gary Van Horn and wife Amanda, Amy Strenth and husband Mike, Jordan, Katie and John Paul Seiwert, Mark Wray and wife Lacey, Erik and Amanda Wray; two great grandchildren, Dylan and Austin Strenth; sister Lois Lacock and husband Tom of Rossville, Kansas and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda was not only a loving and devoted wife and mother, but also worked as an assistant preschool teacher for East Central Vocational Cooperative in the late 70s and early 1980’s. Linda was a Franklin County 4-H Leader, and was a realtor for Prestige Real Estate for seventeen years, retiring in 2010.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Ottawa Women’s Golf Association and Treasurer of Friday Night Couples Golf at Ottawa Country Club.
Many things were important in life to Linda, but among the greatest were her family, children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with them enjoying trips and camping adventures. Linda will be deeply missed and remain in the hearts and thoughts of her family and friends forever.
Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Ottawa at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Officiants were Fr. Charles Sweiert of Garden City, Kansas and Fr. Bill Fisher of Ottawa, Kansas.
Pallbearers were Linda’s grandsons - Greg Van Horn, Gary Van Flora, Jordan Seiwert, JohnPaul Seiwert, Mark Wray, Erik Wray and Mike Strenth. Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Brown, Gary Hodland, Louie Bell, Mike Gretencord, Brian Powell, Pete Cearfoss, Paul Seiwert, John Wray and Gene Van Horn.
Interment at the Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
