| Anniversary- Gillgannon, Eugene and Gertrude To celebrate anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Gilgannon [sic Gillgannon], Topeka, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Mar. 28, with an open house given by their children.
Friends and relatives are invited to call between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. in the couple’s home, 1712 Huntoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilgannon were married Mar. 30, 1921, in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. Marys. They have four daughters:
Mrs. L. O. Lane, Riverside, Calif.; Mrs. I. L. Carrier, Mobile, Ala.; Mrs. Joe Sullivan, and Mrs. Ken Klein, Topeka.
They have 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The couple asks that no gifts be presented.

Mrs. Gertrude Agnes Gillgannon, 81, Topeka, died Saturday, May 1, 1982, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born December 13, 1900, at St. Marys, the daughter of John and Catherine Seitz Meyer. She moved from Delia to Topeka 40 years ago.
Mrs. Gillgannon was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Topeka. Her husband, Eugene Gillgannon, died October 24, 1973.
Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Josephine F. Lane, Riverside, Ca., Mrs. Beatrice G. Carrier, Mobile, Ala.,, and Mrs. Eugenia M. Sullivan and Mrs. Ramona R. White, both of Topeka; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Immenschuh, Silver Lake, Mrs. Catherine Cowan and Mrs. Leona Perry, both of Rossville, and Mrs. Lucille Clark, Topeka; a brother Clarence Meyer, St. Marys; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A parish rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Brennan's of Topeka. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Topeka. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys.
