EDNA WELCH DIES IN NURSING HOME
Mrs. Edna A. Welch, 76, of Rossville died Tuesday evening at the Waga Nursing Home in St. Marys after a long illness. She was born in Illinois February 22, 1887, and came to Rossville with her parents when a small child.
Her husband, LaVerne Welch, died in 1956. She is survived by one son, James L. Welch; one brother, Benjamin C. Mileham of Rossville; three nieces, Mrs. Maralee E. Wade of Rossville, Mrs. Jeanette Verdun of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Mrs. Eloise Rhoton, Cottonwood, Ariz., four nephews, S. E. Mile- ham of Winslow, Ariz., Ben D. Mileham of Winslow, Ariz., Robert Mileham, Sedona, Ariz., and Richard Mileham of Alabama.
Services were held Saturday morning at St. Stanislaus Church in Rossville with burial in Rossville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Navarre, Walter McCleery, Gerald Larson, Walter Startup, John Martin, and David Stiles.
Verschelden Funeral Home of St. Marys was in charge of arrangements.
