Pasia M. Hutsell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and dear friend, passed away on December 19, 2024, in Topeka, Kansas, leaving behind a vibrant tapestry of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Born on March 25, 1972, Pasia was a remarkable individual whose unwavering dedication to her family and career defined her life. She was always putting others needs above her own.

Pasia worked with Evergy for almost 30 years, ending her career as a Senior Systems Analyst, where her commitment to excellence shone brightly. Her colleagues admired her for her hard work ethic and straight-shooting personality.

Pasia’s immense love for her family stood at the center of her universe. Pasia cherished the time spent with her loved ones, especially her children and grandchildren. Her children, Jessica (Erick) Johnston and son Josh Fox, and her stepchildren, Shane (Angel) Hutsell, Brittney Hutsell, and Conlin Hutsell were an important part of her life. As a grandmother, she adored Gloria, Clayton, and Oakleigh.

In addition to her love for family, Pasia had a passion for travel, experiencing delights from the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland to the lush retreats of Bali and the diverse cultures of South Africa. She tirelessly supported her husband, Jeremy Hutsell, in his cycling events, standing proudly by his side as he pursued his passions.

Pasia enjoyed spending her free time doing various craft projects and hobbies. It wasn’t uncommon finding her and Jeremy at their favorite restaurant, Casa Hernandez, enjoying tacos and margaritas, where they were always sure to run into friends.

Pasia graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1990 and carried her unwavering spirit into every aspect of her life, endeavoring to make her mark and share her love with those around her. Her warmth and sincerity were felt deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Jeremy, whom she married on March 26, 2011, and her children, along with her sister Sarene (Stan) McCrory, brothers Tosh (Lacy) Wade and Tevan (Nicole) Wade, and father Thomas F. Wade, Jr. Pasia also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her two beloved cats, Fritz and Roger, who added joy to her life.

Pasia is preceded in death by her mother, Judith "Judy" M. (Price) Wade, and her maternal and paternal grandparents, Arthur O'Dell Price, Eleanor Price, Tom Wade Sr., and Katherine Wade.

The impact of Pasia Hutsell’s life will be celebrated and remembered by all whose lives she touched. Her unwavering spirit will guide us as we gather to honor her memory.

Visitation will take place on January 2, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Parker-Price & Davidson, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608. A Celebration of Life will follow on January 3, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Parker-Price & Davidson. Graveside Service at Silver Lake Cemetery.

Though she has departed from this world, Pasia’s love remains etched in the hearts of those she cherished. She has left us a legacy of love, perseverance, and a reminder to live life to the fullest, just as she did.

Please enjoy a margarita in her memory.
