Evelyn was born in Denver, Colo., Aug. 3, 1927, to Orris E. and Margaret Elizabeth (Hughes) Baer, the fifth of seven children. In her early years she lived in Brunswick, Mo., Denver, Colo., Murfreesboro, Tenn., Travis Air Force Base, California, and then resided in Rossville, Kan. She married Walter R. Guyle on Nov. 16, 1947, then later married William “Bill" Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, brothers Irvin Baer, Elvin Baer, Riley L Baer, sisters Nigel B. (Baer) Orr and Lyndall “Imogene” (Baer) Lewis. She is survived by a brother James and wife Paula Baer of Aurora, Colo.; sons, Steven Guyle and wife Debbie of Rossville, Phillip Guyle and wife Sheilah of Ottawa, David Guyle and wife Sheila of Topeka and Daniel Guyle and wife Brenda of Carbondale; daughters, Janice Deiter of Rossville and Margaret “Peggy” Manning and husband Darrel of Lyndon. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Fair Abilene and Billie Jo Rivera and brother-in-law Jose Rivera of Junction City, 24 grandchildren, 44 greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn cultured many relationships everywhere she lived and maintained those relationships throughout the years. All those who knew her will miss her. She was a member of Family of God Church, Topeka. Funeral services were Dec. 18 at Rossville Christian Church. Interment followed in the Rossville Cemetery.
