    Moyer-Kibbe Vows Exchanged

The marriage of Leslie D. Moyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moyer, Rossville, and Harry E. Kibbe, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Keith Kibbe, Olathe, was solemnized in the Rossville United Methodist Church in a double ring ceremony performed by the Reverend Deborah Ackman on Saturday, May 20, 1978, at two in the afternoon.

The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a fragile creation of satin sheer and pearl embroidered Alencon lace. An open neckline was designed in the natural waist bodice of English net and lace. Scallops of lace formed the petite cap sleeves. More appliques flowed down the front of the circular, floor length skirt. A floating chapel length train finished the gown. A Juliet cap embellished with seed pearls held an elegant walking veil of white illusion. An edge of pearl embroidered lace completed the alluring headpiece. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow miniature carnations, white daisies, baby's breath and light blue straw flowers, accented with white ribbon streamers.

Mrs. Janice Sharp, organist, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Rick Gentry who sang "Evergreen" and "Annie's Song."

Two nine-branched candelabras decorated with white daisies, yellow pixie carnations, baby's breath and blue straw flowers were on either side of the altar. Four aisle hurricane lamp candelabras were decorated with the same type of flowers as were used at the altar.

Gayle Moyer, sister of the bride, was her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Colleen Brennan, Rossville, Kristie French and Lynda Spielman, Topeka. They wore pale yellow floor length gowns of Qiana with scoop necklines and ruffles at the hems. Their white, wide-brimmed hats were decorated with yellow streamers and flower clusters of daisies, pixie carnations and baby's breath.

Jennifer Keller, the flower girl, was dressed like the bridesmaids. She carried a deep basket with yellow petals.

The bridegroom wore a white tuxedo with a boutonniere of three yellow sweetheart roses and baby's breath. Shawn Langworthy, ring bearer, was dressed in a white tuxedo and his boutonniere was of two yellow sweetheart roses and baby's breath.

Dick Kibbe, Holton, was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Bob Kerwin, Maple Hill, Chuck Macha, Perry, and Brad Miller, Rossville. Bill Heslet and Dennnis Nadeau, Rossville, were ushers. They wore light blue tuxedos with boutonnieres of white carnations and baby's breath.

Mrs. Dick Kibbe, Holton, attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the American Legion Building in Rossville. Mrs. Beverly Gentry and Mrs. Betty Mitchell served the cake. Four heart shaped cakes surrounded the lower level of pillars on a four-tiered cake. Two champagne fountains were used for the punch. Miss Janice Rezac and Mrs. Carol Bennett assisted at the gift table.

Mr. and Mrs. Kibbe are graduates of Rossville High School. Mrs. Kibbe is a medical secretary with the Orthopedic Clinic in Topeka. Mr. Kibbe works for Associated Bearings Company in Topeka.

They took a wedding trip to Lake of the Ozarks. The couple is at home in Silver Lake.
