    Dorothy Jean Evers
    Dorothy Jean Evers, 91, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Rossville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on August 17, 1922 in Caldwell, Kansas to James and Edith Wardell. She was preceded in Death by her husband of 60 years, Fred J. Evers and eldest son, Joseph K Evers. Survivors include: James and Jeanne Evers (Lawrence), Sheryl Evers (Las Vegas), four grandchildren, Jason and Kim Evers, Justin Evers (Lawrence, KS), Michelle and Todd Cencich (Jacksonville, FL) and Marcia Evers (Las Vegas); four great grandchildren, Valerie and Troy Cencich, Elin Jane Evers and Kaylee Evers; and a sister, Helen Louise Caracus, (New Jersey). Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:30pm Tuesday, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, in North Topeka. Graveside service Wednesday, June 18, at 11:00am at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Avenue.
