Obituary- Young, Chalmers

"Dee” Young
dies after long
illness
Chalmers DeWitt Young, 64, of Rossville, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital. He was born August 31. 1893, at Ft. Scott and formerly operated a garage in Topeka. He had been in business here for nine years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge of Topeka and the American Legion Post at Silver Lake. He was also a charter member of the Rossville Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Esther Mary Young, of the home: a brother, Emerson Young, Ft. Scott, and two sisters, Mrs. Leota Cable and Mrs. Stella Waltmire, both of Ft. Scott.

Funeral services were at 2 pm Tuesday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
