Obituary- Burtenshaw, Horace

Mr. H.S. Burdenshaw [sic Burtenshaw], a workman on the new Kansas Life Ins. building, 8th and Van Buren, Topeka, was killed Tuesday when a 500 pound slab of the coping fell on him. Both legs were crushed and he was injured internally. Mr. Burdenshaw, is the son-in-law of Mrs. Etta Nelson, of Topeka. Mrs. Burdenshaw is the niece of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Yocum and Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Vorhies of this city. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Friday) at the Penwell parlors in Topeka at 10 o'clock. The body will be brought to Rossville cemetery for burial.
