Obituary- Young, Esther 2

Mrs. Esther M. Young
Mrs. Esther M. Young, 81, Rossville, died Saturday at a Topeka hospital.

She was born Jan. 30, 1898, at Topeka, the daughter of Matthew F. and Mary Rosa Hammer Gamlowski, and lived in Topeka 53 years before moving to Rossville.

Mrs. Young was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, the Altar Society at the church, Golden Agers, Countryside Club, and a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Jimmy Lollard Post No. 31 of the American Legion, all at Rossville.

She was married to Chalmers D. Young Oct. 28,1920, at Topeka. He died April 20,1958.

Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Jeanne Hutson, South Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Joanne Rondeau, Great Bend, and two nephews, Jack Riordan, Boulder, Colo., and Adrian Gamlowski, 2520 Seabrook.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Topeka. Wake service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys. Mrs. Young will lie in state from 2 p.m. Monday until service time at the funeral home
