Obituary- Yingling, Larry
LARRY JOE YINGLING
Larry Joe Yingling, 79, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013.
He was born July 23, 1934 in Topeka, the son of Dorwin E. and Sara Jane (Carothers) Yingling.
He graduated from Seaman High School in 1952. He founded, owned and operated Yingling Auto Service Center and was a cattle rancher.
He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Topeka.
Larry married Peggy Eileen Fry on October 9, 1953 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include his son, Brian (Paula), son, Blake (Jackie), daughter, Cynthia (John) Mitchell, St. Mary’s and daugh¬ter, Calla (Kelly) Haggard and sister, Shirley Farrell. Larry has 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Brent.
Larry was cremated and a memorial service was at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Second Presbyterian Church, 210 N.W. Menninger Rd, Topeka, KS 66617. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka.
