 Obituary- Van Vleck, Olivia 
Died, at her home five miles north of Rossville, Tuesday, August 29, 1901, Mrs. F.H. Van Vleck, aged 41 years, after a lingering illness. 
 
The deceased was born in Jackson county, Indiana, in 1860, and removed with her parents to Minnesota in 1867, and came to Kansas in 1871, where she has since resided. She was married to F.H. Van Vleck the 18th day of April, 1880. She was the mother of nine children, seven of whom are living to mourn her death. 
 
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.G. Maver of Topeka, from the M.E. Church in this city, Sunday, September 1st, in the presence of a large concourse of relatives and friends after which the remains were interred in the Rossville cemetery. The husband and children have the sympathy of the entire community in this their sad bereavement.
