Laura B. Lohmeyer
Rossville - Laura B. Lohmeyer, 84, formerly of St. Marys died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Oakley Place of Rossville.

She was born December 9, 1933 at Miltonvale, the daughter of Lloyd Q. and Louise H. Collins Lawrence. Laura graduated from Concordia High School and attended Marymount College in Salina.

Laura graduated from Kansas State University with a Master of Science degree. She was an elementary teacher for 17 years. She had lived in Junction City, Emporia, Salina and St. Marys before moving to Rossville and later to Oakley Place of Rossville. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Wamego. Laura was a life member of NEA, KNEA and the Kansas State University Alumni Association.

One June 8, 1953 she was united in marriage to James H. Lohmeyer at Washington, MO. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2016. She was also preceded in death by a son Michael Lohmeyer on September 6, 2017; a brother, Delbert Lawrence, sisters, Pearl De Mars, Marie McGee, Geneva Hendricks, and Ruth Lawrence.

Survivors include her son, Mark Lohmeyer, Lawrence; daughter, Kimberly (Alan Nelson) Brummer, Rossville; sisters, Shirley (Richard) Chartier, Clyde and Ilamae Elliott, Camarillo, CA; daughter-in-law Eileen Lohmeyer, Henderson, NV; son-in-law, Eric Brummer, Rossville; grandchildren, Sara, Katie & Samanthan Lohmeyer, Kelly (Brendon) Gross, Ashley and Nicholas Brummer and a great grandddaughter, Lexi Findley.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Wamego. Interment was in the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, Manhattan. The family received friends from 9:00 until service time on Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Laura B.
