Obituary.
DIED - Isaac McCollough died Monday, August 6th, at 9. a.m., at his home 2 1/2 miles north of Rossville, aged 48 years, 10 months, and 28 days. The services were held at the house Tuesday at 3 p.m. and were conducted by Elder Huffman, of Lecompton, whose discourse was taken from Phil. 1:23; "For I am in a state betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better." His remarks were well chosen and were spoken with an earnestness which sank deep into the hearts of the listeners. Isaac McCollough was born in Holmesville, Ohio, Sept. 8, 1845. He had been a member in good standing of the U.B. church of his place for 15 years, and was in every way a thorough christian man. He was highly respected by every one, being an honest, upright citizen. We have met him at his home and upon the streets and have always found him gentlemanly in conduct, and loyal in principles. He leaves a wife and five children to mourn his sudden departure. Knowing as we do, the sorrow of the striken household, we sincerely sympathize with them in this their hour of bereavement.
