Mrs. Dell Porter

Ella May Rose was born in Ross county, Ohio, May 7, 1870, departed from this life February 26, 1930, aged 59 years, 9 months and 19 days. She came to Kansas with her parents when a young girl. She was united in marriage to Delbert Porter Nov. 30, 1887. To this union five children were born, two of whom preceded her to the great beyond. She leaves a husband, two daughters, Mrs. C.O. McGehee, Topeka, Mrs. Fred Sims, Abilene, one son O.L. Porter, Topeka, one sister, Mrs. I.T. Hopkins, Rossville and 11 grandchildren to mourn her loss.

In 1920 at Oakley, Kan., she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour and lived a devoted Christian life until her departure to be with Him.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Mary 1, at 10:30 o'clock in the Conwell funeral home in North Topeka, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Richie of Abilene.

The pallbearers were Messrs. H.E. Ishmael, Harvey James, Bert Heslet, R.A. Shipley, Joseph Shenk and Fred Mason.

The body was brought to Rossville for interment in Rossville cemetery.
