Obituary.
Mrs. Elvira Lane, (nee Nason), was born in Illinois in 1871, and died at her home in Rossville, Kas., Jan. 17, 1899.

The deceased had lived in this township nearly all her life and was highly loved and respected by everyone. She united with the M.E. church about four years ago, and had ever since been a faithful worker in the church. She was united in marriage to Mr. Andrew Lane in March 1898, and since that time they had resided in Stafford, Kas., with the exception of a few weeks before her death.

The funeral services were held in the M.E. church Wednesday, Jan. 1899, conducted by Rev. Fisher. The church was filled with sorrowing relatives and friends, who had met to show their respect for their departed loved one.

The heartfelt sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereft ones in this their dark hour of affliction.
