Obituary- McCarty, Catharine

Death of Catharine McCarty.
DIED. - At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. P. Sherer [sic Shearer], in Rossville, Tuesday, January 22, Mrs. Catharine McCarty, aged 100 years.

Catharine McCarty was born in Drumleague Parish, County of Cork, Ireland. She was the mother of five children, four girls and one boy, who still survive her. She united with the Episcopalian church when quite young and remained a faithful christian to the last. She lived to see five generations of children. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. C.N. Riggles, pastor of the Rossville M.E. Church.
