Obituary- Adams, Lucille

Lucille A. Adams
Mrs. Lucille Adele Hasty Adams, 90, Blaine, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007.
She was born May 11, 1917, in Peterton, north of Osage City, the daughter of William Franklin and Stella Lane Hasty. She grew up in Osage City and attended the local schools and graduated in 1935.
She married James M. Adams on Sept. 8, 1938, in Lyndon. He preceded her in death July 31, 1989. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, William Franklin Hasty Jr. and Wayne Hasty; and two sisters, Velma McLeod and Sylvia Heider.
Lucille lived in Lyndon, Grove (north of Silver Lake), and moved to Rossville, Feb. 1, 1953, and to Blaine in 1988.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Women of Rossville. She was a graduate of the Menninger Bible Class. She served as a den mother of the Cub Scouts and as president of the senior citizens of Rossville. She also worked with her husband 13 years in the Rossville Implement Store.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lucille gave her love and care to her family without reservation. The high lights of her retirement years were traveling with Jim in their camper all over the United States.
Survivors include a daughter: Carol Sue Dick and her husband, LeRoy of Blaine; two sons, Jesse William Adams and his wife, Sandy, of Lebanon, Tenn., and Harry Richard Adams and his wife, Pat, of Silver Lake; two sisters, Dorothy McLeod of Leavenworth, and Wilma Carlson and husband Robert, of Osage City; seven grandchildren, Jess Adams, Brent Adams and his wife, Heather, Chad Adams, Wendy Spreer and her husband, Steve, April Dick, Heath Dick and companion Susan Cody, Alan Dick and his wife, Misty, Gary Clarke, and Steven Clarke; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 20, at First Presbyterian Church, 202 S. Sixth, Osage City, with Rev. Suellen Wood officiating.
Interment was in Osage City Cemetery.
