Obituary- Cowger, Arch 1

Arch L. ‘Dick’ Cowger
SOLDIER - Arch L. “Dick” Cowger, 74, Soldier, died Wednesday, June 26, at an Onaga hospital.
Mr. Cowger was a farmer and stockman.
He was born Nov. 23, 1910, at Mayetta, the son of Oscar and Effie Chaney Cowger. He lived in the De¬lia community before he moved to Soldier 50 years ago.
Mr. Cowger was a member of the United Methodist Church in Circleville and a charter member of the Lions Club at Soldier.
He was married to Irene Spiker Nov. 7, 1935, at Hiawatha. She sur¬vives.
Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Beulah Wykert, Circleville.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Satur¬day at Mercer Funeral Home in Hol¬ton. Burial will be in Olive Hill Cem¬etery west of Holton. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Soldier Lions Club building fund and sent in care of Denison State Bank, Holton, 66436.
