Obituary- DeWilde, Martha

Martha Ann DeWilde
January 4, 1926 – October 13, 2023

Martha DeWilde, 97, of Albany, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Mennonite Village.

Martha was born in Paxico, KS to John and Adelaide (Flach) Hesse. She was a housewife and later worked at Heins Honey then Hawleywood Photography.

Martha will always be remembered as a loving wife and mother of 7.

She was preceded in death by her husband Camille and sisters Leola Kolde, Henrietta Aubert, twin Margaret Zeller, and Loubell Heiman. Survived by siblings John Hesse and Carolyn Wurtz.

She is also survived by children Janice (Tom) Krom, Margaret (Carlos) Rodriguez, Francis (Jan) DeWilde, David (Jayne) DeWilde, Mary Hansen and Brian Clayes, Linda (Don) Elger, Pamela (Bill) Ryals, 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Recitation of the holy rosary will be held at 10 am Tuesday, October 24, 2023, with a funeral mass to follow at 11am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Albany. Following the reception, a committal service will be at Willamette Memorial Park at 2:00 pm the same day.

The family extends our gratitude to the loving staff at Quail Run Mennonite Village for the excellent care and compassion shown to our mother.
