Charla R. Diederich
Charla R. Diederich, 71, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

Charla was born March 4, 1952, in Onaga, the daughter of Lawrence A. and Vera “Bernadine” Cameron Teske. She was raised in the Delia community and graduated from Rossville High School in 1970.

She married Russell G. Freel in Vallejo, CA. After living there six years they moved to St. Marys. They would later divorce.

Charla worked at the B&B, the CO-OP hardware store and in the CO-OP offices.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Teske.

Survivors include her son, Donny (Whitney) Freel, Rossville, their children, Bryson & Nolan; her sister, JuDee Turner, St. Marys, two nieces, Deana (Robert) Core, St. Marys, and Lynn (Zach) Haver, Omaha, NE; longtime family friend, Beverly Rogers.

A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the St. Marys Senior Center.

Private inurnment followed in the Valley View Cemetery, St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and sent in care of the funeral home.
