Obituary- Curran, Jennings

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St Peter's Catholic Church at Big Springs for Jennings M. Curran, 69, Lecompton, who was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Tuesday.
Dr. Antonio Huaman, deputy district coroner, said Mr. Curran had a heart ailment.
Jennings Curran was born April 17, 1900, at Dawson, Neb. He lived in the Rossville and Delia communities before he moved to Topeka. He lived in Topeka 13 years and spent the past 12 years at Lecompton.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church at Big Springs. He was employed by Santa Fe Railway before he retired.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beulah Curran, at home; five sons, Joseph Curran and Phillip Curran, both at home, Donald Curran, Lawrence, John Curran, Lecompton, and Robert Curran, 736 Forest; five daughter, Mrs. Mary Kent, Sherman, Tex., Mrs. Rosemary Gosser, North Highland, Ca., Mrs. Elizabeth Beavers, 3205 Wisconsin, Mrs. Donna DeWitt, 1615 Clay, and Joyce Curran, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Phebe Burgett and Lucy Curran, both of Delia, and Mrs. Mary Stanfill, Seattle, Wa.; and 26 grandchildren.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery at Big Springs. Mr. Curran will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Brennan Funeral Home where parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday.
