Mary L. Eggleston
Mrs. Mary L. Eggleston, 67, Topeka, died Sunday, June 12, 1988, at a Topeka hospit¬al.
Mrs. Eggleston was a switchboard operator and clerk typist 40 years for Topeka State Hospital before she retired June 20, 1982.
She was born June 22, 1920, at Rossville, the daughter 6f Albert and Rosa Young Bixby. She was gradu¬ated from Rossville High School and spent most of her life in the Topeka-Rossville area.
Mrs. Eggleston was a mem¬ber of Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Eagles Lodge, both at Topeka.
She married Vern Eggles¬ton September 7, 1951, at Denver, Colo. He died June 28, 1972.
Survivors include three Sis¬ters, Ruby Freel and Melba Ziegler, both of Topeka, and Vernadell Macha, Delia; and a brother, Oscar Bixby, Ross¬ville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Otterbein United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday (today). Memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church, 2915 W. 8th, Topeka, Ks. 66604.
