Obituary- Alber, Thomas 1

Thomas Joseph Alber
Thomas Joseph Alber, 44, of Topeka, died Jan. 8, 2014 in an auto accident. He was born Nov. 17, 1969, in Topeka to Karl E. and Mary A. Alber. He attended schools in Hanover and Delia and graduated from Delia Grade School.
He attended Rossville High School and High¬land Park High School and obtained his GED in 1987. His working career was very diverse. Very good with mechan¬ics and electronics, he I worked in a wide variety of construction and ma¬chinery jobs. He especially liked his years in the band “No Parking” as sound board technician. Most recently, he was employed by Standard Beverage in Lawrence as a re-packer.
Tom loved fishing, camping, cooking on his barbecue smoker and the Kansas City Chiefs. Most of all, he loved spending time with his daughters and staying in touch with everyone in his large family. He was an excellent father and a wonderful son, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.
He is survived by his daughters, Alexis Sinclair of Independence, Mo., and Jasmine Caroline Albers of Overland Park, Kan., and his special friend and mother of Jasmine, Gina McKenzie.
He is also survived by his parents Karl and Mary Alber of Topeka, grandmother Gwen Ryan of To¬peka, sister, Karla Bearse, brother-in-law George Bearse, nephews Patrick and Zachary Bearse, brother Victor Alber, sister-in-law Stephanie Alber, all of Colorado Springs, Col. He is also survived by stepsiblings Vicki Spinner, Joey Spinner, Danielle Bondurant and David Culp, all of Jefferson City, Mo., and Mary Studna and Tammy McCombs of Kansas City. Also left to mourn his memory is a special friend Holly Logan of Topeka, and special cousin Kim White, Meridan.
He is preceded in death by paternal grand-parents Edward and Rose Alber and maternal grandfather, Henry Ryan. Memorial services were Jan. 12 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Our Tom, with his sweet and fun-loving personality, will be immensely missed by all of us. Memorial contribution may be given to the Topeka Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 8350, Topeka, KS 66608.
