Obituary- Decker, Willis
Willis G. Decker
ROSSVILLE - Willis G. Decker, 76, Rossville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. Willis was born May 3, 1927, at Rossville, the son of Ernest and Mary Orrick Decker. He graduated from Rossville High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Decker Asphalt Co. in Kansas City. He lived in Kansas City until his retirement in 1990, when he moved back to Rossville. Willis was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Silver Lake. He married Helen Immenschuh in October 1945. She survives at the home. Other survivors are three daughters, Sharon and her husband, Don Will, Paola, Wanda and her husband, Rick Jones, Cape Coral, Fla., and Glenda and her husband, Joe Ammon, Bradenton, Fla.; three grandchildren, Tonya Smith, Laura Bruchman and William Franklin; two sisters, Winifred Stach, Rossville, and Charlotte Kling, St. Marys; a brother, Gerald Decker, Topeka; and a brother-in-law, Marvin Immenschuh, Delia. Mr. Decker was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Decker; and a granddaughter, Lisa Jones. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lakeside Baptist Church in Silver Lake. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. He will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at Piper Funeral Chapel, in Rossville, where there will be a family visitation from 7 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to Rossville Community Library, 407 Main, Rossville, Kan. 66533, or to Lakeside Baptist Youth Building Fund, 10435 Parr Road, Silver Lake, Kan. 66539. Piper Funeral Chapel in Rossville is in charge of arrangements.
