Obituary- DeGraff, Charles

Charles DeGraff
Charles DeGraff, 81, formerly of 701 Wabash, died Thursday evening at a local hospital. He was a retired sheet metal worker for the Santa Fe Railway.

He was born July 17, 1890 at Rossville and moved to Topeka in 1945.

Mr. DeGraff was married to Alice Stum in May of 1911, at Rossville. She survives.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors, besides his widow, include seven daughters, Mrs. Lottie McGuire, 723 Topeka, Mrs. Phillis Roney, 227 Terra Drive, Mrs. Dolly Heiland, Rossville, Mrs. Doris Mohler, and Mrs. Bonnie Thomas, both of Silver Lake, Mrs. Patricia Brown, Meriden, and Mrs. Vera Sicking, Holmes Beach, Fla.; two sons, John DeGraff, Springfield, Mo., and Darrell DeGraff, San Diego, Calif.: three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Pence, 701 Liberty, Mrs. Fran Hipsher, 1210 Logan, and Mrs. Dorothy Overby, Kansas City; five brothers, Don DeGraff, 1801 Lott, George DeGraff, 2609 Buchanan, Paul DeGraff, Dallas, Tex., Joseph DeGraff, Port Charlotte, Fla. and Leo DeGraff, Dallas, Ore.; 28 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services are pending at Parker Mortuary.
