Robert G. DeGraff
Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home for Robert George DeGraff, 85, Topeka, who died Saturday, September 13, 1977, in a Topeka rest home where he had been a few days.
He was born July 13, 1892, at Rossville, and lived in Topeka about 50 ears. He was employed by Santa Fe Railway 20 years before he retired.
Mr. DeGraff was a member of University United Methodist Church, Orient Lodge No. 51, AF&AM, Scottish Rite bodies, Beulah Chapter No. 34, Order of Eastern Star, and the Santa Fe Old Timers Club.
He was married to Eva Strimple on September 13, 1918 at Rossville. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Georgella Venturella, Topeka, Mrs. Louise Bitner, Lee's Summit, Mo., and Mrs. June Barnes, LaHabra, Calif.; two sons; Paul LaVerne DeGraff Omaha, Nebr., and Robert G. DeGraff Jr., Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothea Overbay, Kansas City, Ks. and Mrs. Frances Hipsher, Topeka; three brothers, Paul Degraff, Dallas, Tex.; Joseph DeGraff, Port Charlotte, Fla., and Donald DeGraff, Topeka; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Orient Lodge No. 51, AF&AM, conducted graveside services at Memorial Park Cemetery.
