Obituary- DeVader, Pauline
Pauline H. Devacfer
Mrs. Pauline H. DeVader, 70, Emmett, died Monday, May 22, 1989, at an Onaga hospital.
She was born February 2, 1919, at Delia, the daughter of Louis and Mary Teresa Simecka Lysek. She spent her life in the Delia and Emmett communities.
Mrs. DeVader was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Emmett and the Altar Sodality at the church. She also was a member of Jolly Workers in Emmett.
She was married to Edward H. DeVader November 18, 1940, in Delia. He survives. An infant son, Mark DeVader, died in 1949.
Other survivors include five daughters, Mary Lou Finnegan, Topeka; Bobbi McGrath, Karen Keller and Linda Perry, Emmett; and Donna Smith, Maple Hill; three sons, Greg DeVader, Marvin DeVader and Kevin DeVader, all of Emmett; two sisters, Lucille Freeman, La Puente, Calif., and Kitty Dietrich, Wichita; 24 grandchildren and a great-grand¬child.
Mass of Christian burial was at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial was in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. A rosary was recited Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Verschelden Funeral Home in St. Marys.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mrs. Pauline De-Vader Memorial Fund to be designated later by relatives and sent in care of the funeral home.
