William Bailey, 60,
Mayetta, Dies



William Thurman Bailey, 60, Mayetta, died Thursday in a Topeka hospital. He had been a farmer and stockman in the Hoyt and Mayetta communities most of his life.
He was a trustee of the Kaw Valley Electric Cooperative at the time of his death.
Mr. Bailey was born Sept. 29, 1907, in West Liberty, Ky. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 327, Hoyt, Order of Eastern Star, also in Hoyt, Scottish Rite Bodies, Topeka, and Oskaloosa Chapter 9, RAM. He was a member of Pottawa¬tomie Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Bailey, two sons, Charles Bailey and Leland Bai¬ley, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mirl Bailey, Delia; four brothers, Emerson Bailey, Silver Lake, Henry Bailey and Lester Bailey, both of Delia, and Stanley Bailey, Meriden.
Services, will be at 11 a.m. Friday^ in Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery north of Silver Lake. Hoyt Masonic Lodge will conduct graveside services. Scottish Rite services will be held in the funeral home.
