Obituary- Dolezilek, Joseph

Joseph Dolezilek
dies at 95
POPLAR—Funeral services were held January 26 at Our Lady of Tourds Catholic Church for Joseph Dolezilek, 95, who died January 22, 1960, in Poplar City Hospital.
Solemn Requiem Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Patrick Ryan. Interment was in the Poplar City Cemetery.
Mr. Dolezilek was born in Brusperk, Czechoslovakia. He came to the United States with his parents in 1880, settling in Rossville, Kansas, where he married Rose Matyak in 1892. Mrs. Dolezilek died in 1908. In 1917 he moved to Elsberry, Mo., and then to North Dakota for a year. In 1926 he moved to Montana. He lived on a farm ten miles north of Poplar until December 1958 when he went to live with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Hibl.
Surviving are four sons, Charles. Peter, and James of Poplar, and Joseph Jr. of Frazer; two daughters, Mrs. Nicholas Girard, Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Adolph Hibl, Poplar; one brother, Anton Dolezilek of St. Marys, Kansas, several nieces and nephews in Topeka and Rossville, Kansas. His oldest daughter, Mary, died January 20, 1959, in Portland, Oregon.
