Obituary- Farley, Clare
CLARE MAE FARLEY
Mrs. Clare Mae Farley, 72, Wamego, died Friday, October 24, 1986, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Farley was a processor for a retail grocery store.
She was born July 18, 1914, at Rossville, the daughter of Claude and Ada Mae Heslett Yocum.
Mrs. Farley was a member of the United Methodist Church in Alta Vista, past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2468 auxiliary, past president of Pearce-Keller Unit No. 17 in Manhattan, treasurer of Past Presidents Parley of American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Extension Homemakers Unit at Louisville.
She was married to Lawrence Farley May 25, 1929. He survives.
Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Naomi Massey, Wamego, and Mrs. Fern Gilliland, Topeka.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (this morning) at Cowan-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home in Manhattan. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. The family met with friends Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Harold Johnson Unit No. 172 of the American Legion at Wamego.
