Obituary- Fauerbach, Catherine

Catherine E. Fauerbach
Catherine Ernestine Fauerbach, 86, Rossville, died Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at Stormont-Vail Health Care in Topeka.
She was born February 9, 1919, in Rossville, the daughter of Ernest and Anna Meyer Reser, and had lived in the Rossville community all of her life.
Catherine was reared in the Rossville community and attended Stone School. She graduated from Rossville High School in 1938. Mrs. Fauerbach was a cook at the Rossville Grade School and was the head cook at the Rossville High School for several years. She was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church, and a member of Loyal Chapter No. 16 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Silver Lake. She was a past Worthy Matron at the lodge.
On August 11, 1941, she married John H. Fauerbach at Lyndon. He died September 19, 1998. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Cora Mae Davis and Shirley Ann Campbell, and a daughter-in-law, Michele Fauerbach.
Surviving her are two daughters, Judy Fauerbach, Topeka, and Bonnie J. Fauerbach, Rossville; three sons, William Fauerbach and James Fauerbach, both of Emporia, and John E. Fauerbach, Topeka; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service was a 1:00 p.m. Friday at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys; burial was in the Rossville Cemetery. The family received friends Thursday at the funeral home.
