Obituary- Fields, Theo
MRS. THEO N. FIELDS
Mrs. Theo N. Fields, 63, of 931 Jewell, Topeka, died Monday night at her home, after a long illness. She was born in Wamego, June 12, 1886, and had lived in Rossville 27 years before moving to Topeka five years ago.
She was a member of the Lowman Memorial Methodist church and of the Alma Chapter 270, O.E. S.
Mrs. Fields is survived by her husband, Theodore, of the home and two sisters, Mrs. Tom Leonard of Duncan Okla., and Mrs. Leroy Johnson, Wamego.
Funeral services were held this (Thursday afternoon) in the Methodist Church at Wamego.
MRS. THEODORE FIELDS
Theo Gittings was born Jan. 12, 1886, on a farm southeast of Wamego, the daughter of Henry C. and Polly Gittings. While residing there she attended the Red Top country school.
The Gittings family moved to Alma, Kansas, in 1900, where Theo met Ted Fields of that place, whom she married Jan. 12, 1910 at Wamego, Kansas
She departed this life Jan, 16, 1950, aged 63 years, 7 months and 4 days in her home in Topeka.
She was a member of the Lowman Memorial Methodist church and of The Order of the Eastern Star.
Those left to mourn her passing are the husband, Ted Fields, of Topeka, two sisters, Mrs. LeRoy Johnson, of Wamego, and Mrs. Tom Leonard of Duncan, Okla., also a host of relatives and friends.
Mrs. Fields was a devoted Christian and was a good neighbor. Her cheerful personality endeared her to all with whom she came in contact.
Funeral services were held Thursday 2:30 p. m. at the Wamego Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Terry of Lowman Memorial church of Topeka, assisted by Rev. Gordon Coldsmith of the Wamego Methodist
