Obituary- Gibson, Effie

Effie Gibson
Mrs. Effie Gibson, 75, 1629 Jewell, was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Monday afternoon. She had a heart ailment.

She was born Aug. 15, 1897, at Americus in Lyon County and lived in Topeka since 1939. She was a member of Central United Presbyterian Church, Beulah Chapter No. 34, Order of Eastern Star, the Topeka Woman’s Club, and the American Assn. of University Women.

She was married to Dr. E. H. Gibson Sept. 24, 1919, at Wichita. He survives.

Other survivors include a son, Wendell L. Gibson, Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs. Darwin Denman, Des Moines, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Everett Yockey, Wichita; and three grandchildren.

Penwell-Gabel Funeral Horne is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
