Mrs. Gertrude Gillgannon
Mrs. Gertrude Agnes Gillgannon, 81, Topeka, died Saturday at a Topeka hospital.

She was born Dec. 13, 1900, at St. Marys, the daughter of John and Catherine Seitz Meyer. She moved from Delia to Topeka 40 years ago.

Mrs. Gillgannon was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Topeka.

Her husband, Eugene Gillgannon, died Oct. 24, 1973.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Josephine F. Lane, Riverside, Calif., Mrs. Beatrice G. Carrier, Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. Eugenia M. Sullivan and Mrs. Ramona R. White, both of Topeka; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Immenschuch, Silver Lake, Mrs. Catherine Cowan and Mrs. Leona Perry, both of Rossville, and Mrs. Lucille Clark, Topeka; a brother, Clarence Meyer, St. Marys; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Topeka. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Mrs. Gillgannon will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Brennan’s of Topeka, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday.
