Obituary- Gleason, Phyllis 2

PHYLLIS N. GLEASON
Phyllis N. Gleason, 82, Dover, passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka.

She was born Nov. 27, 1929, on a farm south of Dover, the daughter of Everette J. and Lula Moran Thomas.

Phyllis lived in the Dover community all of her life. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Gleason was a member of the Dover Federated Church, the Ladies Aide and a past member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by a son Terry Gleason, April 23, 2003. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Clayton Thomas and two sisters, Geraldine and Betty Thomas.

On Aug. 12, 1947, she was united in marriage to Harold Gleason at St. Marys. They celebrated their 65th anniversary this past Sunday. Harold survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son Richard (Jenette) Gleason, Winnemucca, Nev.; her daughter Sharon (Glen) Bishop, Rossville; a brother Elden (Jerry) Thomas, Burlingame; two sisters-in-law, Mary Thomas and Ida Thomas both of Harveyville; six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great- great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Monday, Aug. 20, at the Keene Cemetery.
